Features Of Scapula

Scapula is a bone of superior extremity. It founds at sides of upper back.There are one pair right and left of scapulas in human body.

Features :

Two surface 

1) Costal : Concave and directed medially and forward.Its is      marked by three longitudinal ridges.

2) Dorsal surface : Convex and divided by a spine.

Three borders

1) Superior : Shortest and thin. It contain suprasternal notch.

2) Lateral : Thickest.

3) Medial : Thin and extend from superior to inferior angle.

   Three angles

1) Superior
2) Inferior
3) Lateral

Three processes

1) Spine : triangular plate with three borders and two surface.
2) Acromion process : Forward projection from the lateral end     of the spine.
3) Coracoid process: Directed forward and slightly laterally and lies below the clavicle.
