General Division Of Human Anatomy

According to anatomy the human body has been divided into five different divisions. The divisions are

• Head and Neek
• Thorax
• Abdomen
• Superior extremities
• Inferior extremities 

Imaginary Planes Of The Body

Transverse plane : The planes cutting across the body dividing the body into superior and inferior portions.Also called cardinal horizontal plane.

Coronal or frontal plane : The vertical planes passing through the body from the head tot the feet, dividing the body into front and back portions.

Sagittal or median plane : A vertical plane that divides the body into right and left halves and passes approximately through the sagittal suture of the skull.
