Features Of Radius

It is bone of upper extremity,It extends from elbow joint to wrist joint. There is one pair of radius in human body.


Features :

upper End
     Head : disc shaped
     Neck
     Tuberosity.

Shaft 

    Three borders-Anterior,Posterior,Medial
    Three surface-Anterior,Posterior,Lateral

Lower End

    Five surface : anterior,posterior,medial,lateral,and inferior.

Lateral surface bears styloid process.Medial surface occupies ulnar notch.

Anatomical posititon 

Upper end is narrow and cap like. Lower is very wide.Shaft is convex laterally.
