Pelvis is the lower portion of the trunk of the body,bounded by four bones,the two hip bones laterally and anteriorly and the sacrum and coccyx posteriorly.

Anterior - Symphysis pubis
Posteriorly -Sacrum and coccyx
On each side - hipbone
Two openings - Pelvic inlet,Pelvic outlet
Two divisions - Greater pelvis or false pelvis
Lesser pelvis or true pelvis.
Contents of true pelvis
In both sexes
Major arteries : median sacral,superior rectal,internal iliac artery.
Major veins : Internal iliac,vesicle,prostatic or uterovaginal and rectal venous plexuses.
Nerves : Obturator nerve,Sacral plexus,Coccygeal plexus,Superior hypogastric plexus,inferior hypogastric plexus.
Lymphatics : Obturator nodes,paracervical nodes,pararectal nodes.
Organs : Urinary bladder ,Ureter,Sigmoid colon,Rectum.
In female
Uterus,Uterine,tube,Round ligament of uterus,Ovaries,Ligaments of Ovary,Vagina.
In male
Prostate,Vas deference,Seminal vesicle,ejaculatory duct.
